kariṣyaty asamañjasaḥ
sauhṛdaṁ dustyajaṁ pitror
ahād yaḥ pañca-hāyanaḥ

Synonyma

viṣṇoḥ — unto Viṣṇu; vā — either; sādhu — good; asau — this; kim — whether; nu — indeed; kariṣyati — will do; asamañjasaḥ — not trustworthy; sauhṛdam — affectionate relationship; dustyajam — difficult to relinquish; pitroḥ — of his father and mother; ahāt — gave up; yaḥ — he who; pañca-hāyanaḥ — only five years old.

viṣṇoḥ — k Viṣṇuovi; vā — i; sādhu — dobrý; asau — tento; kim — zdali; nu — skutečně; kariṣyati — bude jednat; asamañjasaḥ — nehodný důvěry; sauhṛdam — náklonnosti; dustyajam — které je obtížné se vzdát; pitroḥ — svého otce a matky; ahāt — zřekl se; yaḥ — ten, který; pañca-hāyanaḥ — pouze pětiletý.

Translation

Překlad

Although Prahlāda is only five years old, even at this young age he has given up his affectionate relationship with his father and mother. Therefore, he is certainly untrustworthy. Indeed, it is not at all believable that he will behave well toward Viṣṇu.

I když je Prahlādovi pouhých pět let, již v tomto útlém věku se zřekl láskyplného vztahu s otcem a matkou. Proto není hoden důvěry. Nedá se věřit ani tomu, že se bude chovat náležitě k Viṣṇuovi.
