Translation

Traducción

Being worshiped by sacrifices offered with great gifts by those who strictly followed the principles of varṇa and āśrama, Hiraṇyakaśipu, instead of offering shares of the oblations to the demigods, accepted them himself.

Hiraṇyakaśipu era adorado con sacrificios y grandes regalos que le ofrecían los seguidores estrictos de los principios de varṇa y āśrama; pero él, en lugar de ofrecer parte de las oblaciones a los semidioses, se quedaba con todo.
