Traducción
Although the thunderbolt revolved around Vṛtrāsura’s neck with great speed, separating his head from his body took one complete year — 360 days, the time in which the sun, moon and other luminaries complete a northern and southern journey. Then, at the suitable time for Vṛtrāsura to be killed, his head fell to the ground.
Aun girando en torno al cuello de Vṛtrāsura a gran velocidad, el rayo tardó un año entero en separarla del cuerpo, es decir, 360 días, el tiempo en que el Sol, la Luna y los demás astros completan su recorrido por el norte y por el sur. Entonces, cuando llegó el momento adecuado para la muerte de Vṛtrāsura, su cabeza se desplomó al suelo.
