Translation
Traducción
O inhabitants of Vaikuṇṭha, you are sinless, but those within this material world are all karmīs, whether acting piously or impiously. Both kinds of action are possible for them because they are contaminated by the three modes of nature and must act accordingly. One who has accepted a material body cannot be inactive, and sinful action is inevitable for one acting under the modes of material nature. Therefore all the living entities within this material world are punishable.
¡Oh, habitantes de Vaikuṇṭha!, ustedes son intachables, pero los que habitan en el mundo material, tanto si son piadosos como si realizan actividades impías, son todos karmīs. Como están contaminados por las tres modalidades de la naturaleza y tienen que actuar conforme a ellas, pueden realizar actividades tanto de un tipo como de otro. Quien ha recibido un cuerpo material no puede estar inactivo, y para quien actúa bajo las modalidades de la naturaleza material, la acción pecaminosa es inevitable. Significado
The difference between human beings and nonhuman beings is that a human is supposed to act according to the direction of the Vedas. Unfortunately, men manufacture their own ways of acting, without reference to the Vedas. Therefore all of them commit sinful actions and are punishable.
La diferencia entre los seres humanos y los no humanos está en que del ser humano se espera un comportamiento acorde a los mandatos de los Vedas. Por desdicha, los hombres se inventan sus propias maneras de actuar, sin tener en cuenta los Vedas. Por esa razón, todos ellos incurren en actos pecaminosos y merecen ser castigados.
