Traducción

My dear King, of the nine doors, five led toward the eastern side, one led toward the northern side, one led toward the southern side, and two led toward the western side. I shall try to give the names of these different doors.

Mi querido rey, cinco de esas nueve puertas estaban orientadas hacia el este, una llevaba al norte, una al sur, y las dos restantes estaban orientadas hacia el oeste. Trataré de decirte los nombres de todas esas puertas.

Significado

Of the seven doors on the surface — namely the two eyes, two ears, two nostrils and one mouth — five look forward, and these are described as the doors facing the eastern side. Since looking forward means seeing the sun, these are described as the eastern gates, for the sun rises in the east. The gate on the northern side and the gate on the southern side represent the two ears, and the two gates facing the western side represent the rectum and the genitals. All the doors and gates are described below.

De las siete puertas visibles, es decir, los dos ojos, los dos oídos, las dos fosas nasales y la boca, hay cinco que dan al frente; en la descripción se dice que esas son las puertas orientadas hacia el este. Mirar al frente significa ver el sol; como el sol sale por el este, se dice que esas puertas son las puertas del este. Las puertas del norte y del sur representan los dos oídos, y las dos puertas del oeste representan el recto y los genitales. A continuación se describen todas las puertas y entradas.
