My Lord, You are the provider of the Pitṛlokas as well as all the demigods. You are the predominating deity of the moon and the master of all three Vedas. I offer my respectful obeisances unto You because You are the original source of satisfaction for all living entities.

¡Oh, mi Señor!, Tú eres quien abastece los Pitṛlokas, y también a los semidioses. Tú eres la deidad regente de la Luna y el amo de los tres Vedas. Yo Te ofrezco mis respetuosas reverencias, pues eres la fuente original de la satisfacción de las entidades vivientes.

Significado

When the living entity is born within this material world, especially as a human being, he has several obligations unto the demigods, unto the saintly persons and unto living entities in general. As enjoined in the śāstras, devarṣi-bhūtāpta-nṛṇāṁ pitṝṇām. Thus one has an obligation to one’s forefathers, the previous hierarchy. Lord Śiva prays to Lord Aniruddha to give him strength so he can become free from all obligation to the Pitās, demigods, general living entities and saintly persons and completely engage himself in the devotional service of the Lord. As stated:

Al nacer en el mundo material, la entidad viviente, y especialmente el ser humano, contrae diversas obligaciones con los semidioses, las personas santas y las entidades vivientes en general. Como se establece en los śāstras: devarṣi-bhūtāpta-nṛṇāṁ pitṝṇām. De esa forma, tenemos obligaciones con los antepasados, la jerarquía que nos ha precedido. El Señor Śiva ora al Señor Aniruddha pidiéndole fuerza para liberarse de todas las obligaciones con los pitās, los semidioses, las entidades vivientes en general y las personas santas, y para ocuparse por completo en el servicio devocional del Señor. One becomes free from all obligations to the demigods, saintly persons, pitās, ancient forefathers, etc., if one is completely engaged in the devotional service of the Lord. Lord Śiva therefore prays to Lord Aniruddha to give him strength so that he can be free from such obligations and entirely engage in the Lord’s service.

Aquel que se ocupa por completo en el servicio devocional del Señor se libera de toda obligación con los semidioses, las personas santas, los pitās, los antepasados, etc. Por esa razón, el Señor Śiva ora al Señor Aniruddha pidiéndole fuerza para poder liberarse de esas obligaciones y ocuparse por entero en el servicio del Señor.

Soma, or the predominating deity of the moon, is responsible for the living entity’s ability to relish the taste of food through the tongue. Lord Śiva prays to Lord Aniruddha to give him strength so that he will not taste anything but the prasāda of the Lord. Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura has sung a verse indicating that the tongue is the most formidable enemy among all the senses. If one can control the tongue, he can easily control the other senses. The tongue can be controlled only by eating prasāda offered to the Deity. Lord Śiva’s prayer to Lord Aniruddha is meant for this purpose (tṛpti-dāya); he prays to Lord Aniruddha to help him be satisfied by eating only prasāda offered to the Lord.

Soma, la deidad regente de la Luna, da a la entidad viviente la capacidad de gustar el sabor de los alimentos por medio de la lengua. El Señor Śiva ora al Señor Aniruddha pidiéndole la fuerza necesaria para no probar nunca otro alimento que no sea el prasāda del Señor. En una de sus canciones, Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura indica que la lengua es, de entre todos los sentidos, el enemigo más poderoso. La única manera de controlar la lengua es comer el prasāda que se ofrece a la Deidad. La oración del Señor Śiva al Señor Aniruddha tiene ese fin (tṛpti-dāya); ora al Señor Aniruddha para que le ayude a estar satisfecho comiendo únicamente el prāsada ofrecido al Señor.
