बालेन निष्कर्षयतान्वगुलूखलं तद्
दामोदरेण तरसोत्कलिताङ्‍‍घ्रिबन्धौ ।
निष्पेततु: परमविक्रमितातिवेप-
स्कन्धप्रवालविटपौ कृतचण्डशब्दौ ॥ २७ ॥

Translation

Traducción

By dragging behind Him with great force the wooden mortar tied to His belly, the boy Kṛṣṇa uprooted the two trees. By the great strength of the Supreme Person, the two trees, with their trunks, leaves and branches, trembled severely and fell to the ground with a great crash.

Arrastrando tras de Sí con muchísima fuerza el mortero de madera al que estaba atado por la cintura, el niño Kṛṣṇa arrancó de raíz los dos árboles. Por la enorme fuerza de la Persona Suprema, los dos árboles, con su tronco, sus hojas y sus ramas, temblaron violentamente y cayeron al suelo con gran estrépito.

Significado

This is the pastime of Kṛṣṇa known as dāmodara-līlā. Therefore another of Kṛṣṇa’s names is Dāmodara. As stated in the Hari-vaṁśa:

Este es el pasatiempo de Kṛṣṇa conocido con el nombre de dāmodara-līlā. A raíz de este pasatiempo, Kṛṣṇa recibe también el nombre de Dāmodara. Como se afirma en el Hari-vaṁśa:
