Translation
Traducción
O brāhmaṇas, just accept me as a completely surrendered soul, and let mother Ganges, the representative of the Lord, also accept me in that way, for I have already taken the lotus feet of the Lord into my heart. Let the snake-bird — or whatever magical thing the brāhmaṇa created — bite me at once. I only desire that you all continue singing the deeds of Lord Viṣṇu.
¡Oh, brāhmaṇas!, tan solo acéptenme como un alma totalmente entregada, y que la madre Ganges, la representante del Señor, también me acepte de ese modo, pues ya he puesto los pies de loto del Señor en mi corazón. Que la serpiente alada —o cualquier otra cosa mágica que el brāhmaṇa haya creado— me muerda cuanto antes. Yo solo deseo que todos ustedes continúen cantando acerca de las hazañas del Señor Viṣṇu.

Significado
As soon as one is given up completely unto the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord, he is not at all afraid of death. The atmosphere created by the presence of great devotees of the Lord on the bank of the Ganges and Mahārāja Parīkṣit’s complete acceptance of the Lord’s lotus feet were sufficient guarantee to the King for going back to Godhead. He thus became absolutely free from all fear of death.
En cuanto uno se ha entregado por completo a los pies de loto del Señor Supremo, no le tiene miedo a la muerte en absoluto. La atmósfera creada en la ribera del Ganges con la presencia de grandes devotos del Señor y el hecho de que Mahārāja Parīkṣit aceptara por completo los pies de loto del Señor, eran para el rey garantía suficiente de su regreso a Dios.
