Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu then visited the holy place named Gajendra-mokṣaṇa, where He went to a temple of Lord Viṣṇu. He then came to Pānāgaḍi, a holy place where He saw the Deities of Lord Rāmacandra and Sītā.

El Señor Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu visitó entonces el lugar sagrado de Gajendra-mokṣaṇa, donde fue a un templo del Señor Viṣṇu. De allí pasó a Pānāgaḍi, un lugar sagrado donde vio las Deidades del Señor Rāmacandra y Sītā.

Purport

Significado

The Gajendra-mokṣaṇa temple is sometimes mistaken for a temple of Lord Śiva. It is about two miles south of the city of Kaivera (Nagercoil). Actually the Deity is not of Lord Śiva but of Viṣṇu.

El templo de Gajendra-mokṣana se confunde a veces con un templo del Señor Śiva. Se encuentra a unos tres kilómetros al sur de la ciudad de Kaivera (Nagercoil). En realidad, la Deidad no es del Señor Śiva, sino de Viṣṇu.

Pānāgaḍi (Pannakudi) is about thirty miles south of Tirunelveli. Formerly the temple there contained the Deity of Śrī Rāmacandra, but later the devotees of Lord Śiva replaced Lord Rāmacandra with a deity of Lord Śiva named Rāmeśvara or Rāma-liṅga Śiva.

Pānāgaḍi (Pannakudi) se encuentra a unos cuarenta y ocho kilómetros al sur de Tirunelveli. En el pasado, el templo del lugar cobijaba a una Deidad del Señor Rāmacandra, pero, más tarde, los devotos del Señor Śiva sustituyeron al Señor Rāmacandra por una deidad del Señor Śiva llamada Rāmeśvara o Rāma-liṅga Śiva.
