Translation

Traducción

The elderly brāhmaṇa said, “If I do not give my daughter to the young brāhmaṇa, he will call Śrī Gopālajī as a witness. Thus he will take my daughter by force, and in that case my religious principles will become meaningless.”

El brāhmaṇa mayor dijo: «Si no le doy la mano de mi hija, ese joven brāhmaṇa llamará como testigo a Śrī Gopālajī. Entonces se llevará a mi hija por la fuerza, y, en ese caso, mis principios religiosos perderán todo su valor.»
