आत्मवन्तं न कर्माणि निबध्न‍‍न्ति धनञ्जय ॥ ४१ ॥

jñāna-sañchinna-saṁśayam
ātmavantaṁ na karmāṇi
nibadhnanti dhanañ-jaya

yoga — by devotional service in karma-yoga; sannyasta — one who has renounced; karmāṇam — the fruits of actions; jñāna — by knowledge; sañchinna — cut; saṁśayam — doubts; ātma-vantam — situated in the self; na — never; karmāṇi — works; nibadhnanti — do bind; dhanam-jaya — O conqueror of riches.

yoga: par le service de dévotion dans le karma-yoga; sannyasta: celui qui a abandonné; karmāṇam: les fruits de l’action; jñāna: par la connaissance; sañchinna: a coupé; saṁśayam: les doutes; ātma-vantam: situé dans le soi; na: jamais; karmāṇi: les actions; nibadhnanti: ne lient; dhanam-jaya: ô conquérant des richesses.

Translation

Translation

One who acts in devotional service, renouncing the fruits of his actions, and whose doubts have been destroyed by transcendental knowledge, is situated factually in the self. Thus he is not bound by the reactions of work, O conqueror of riches.

Celui dont le savoir spirituel a déraciné les doutes, et qui agit dans le service de dévotion en renonçant aux fruits de ses actes, est véritablement établi dans la conscience du soi. C’est pourquoi, ô conquérant des richesses, il n’est pas lié aux conséquences de ses actes.

Purport

One who follows the instruction of the Bhagavad-gītā, as it is imparted by the Lord, the Personality of Godhead Himself, becomes free from all doubts by the grace of transcendental knowledge. He, as a part and parcel of the Lord, in full Kṛṣṇa consciousness, is already established in self-knowledge. As such, he is undoubtedly above bondage to action.

Celui qui suit les instructions de la Bhagavad-gītā, telles qu’elles furent données par le Seigneur en personne, verra ses doutes balayés par la puissance du savoir transcendantal. Partie intégrante de Dieu, pleinement conscient de Kṛṣṇa, il est déjà fixé dans la connaissance du soi et se situe au-delà des chaînes de l’action.
