Tradução

O best of the Bhāratas, now hear My judgment about renunciation. O tiger among men, renunciation is declared in the scriptures to be of three kinds.

Ó melhor dos Bhāratas, agora ouça o que tenho a dizer sobre a renúncia. Ó tigre entre os homens, as escrituras afirmam que há três categorias de renúncia.

Comentário

Although there are differences of opinion about renunciation, here the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, gives His judgment, which should be taken as final. After all, the Vedas are different laws given by the Lord. Here the Lord is personally present, and His word should be taken as final. The Lord says that the process of renunciation should be considered in terms of the modes of material nature in which it is performed.

Embora haja várias opiniões sobre a renúncia, aqui a Suprema Personalidade de Deus, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, dá Seu parecer, que deve ser considerado como definitivo. Afinal de contas, os Vedas são diferentes leis dadas pelo Senhor. Aqui, o Senhor está presente em pessoa, e Sua palavra deve ser aceita como definitiva. O Senhor diz que o processo de renúncia deve ser considerado em função dos modos da natureza material em que ele é executado.
