Translation
Translation
The blowing of these different conchshells became uproarious. Vibrating both in the sky and on the earth, it shattered the hearts of the sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra.
Der Klang der Muschelhörner war gewaltig, und da er sowohl im Himmel als auch auf der Erde widerhallte, zerriß er die Herzen der Söhne Dhṛtarāṣṭras.

Purport
When Bhīṣma and the others on the side of Duryodhana blew their respective conchshells, there was no heart-breaking on the part of the Pāṇḍavas. Such occurrences are not mentioned, but in this particular verse it is mentioned that the hearts of the sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra were shattered by the sounds vibrated by the Pāṇḍavas’ party. This is due to the Pāṇḍavas and their confidence in Lord Kṛṣṇa. One who takes shelter of the Supreme Lord has nothing to fear, even in the midst of the greatest calamity.
ERLÄUTERUNG: Als Bhīṣma und die anderen Krieger auf der Seite Duryodhanas ihre Muschelhörner ertönen ließen, erstarrten die Herzen der Pāṇḍavas nicht. An keiner Stelle wird so etwas erwähnt; im Gegenteil, in ebendiesem Vers heißt es, daß es das Herz der Söhne Dhṛtarāṣṭras zerriß, als sie den Klang vernahmen, den die Partei der Pāṇḍavas erzeugte. Daß den Pāṇḍavas dies gelang, war auf ihr Vertrauen in Śrī Kṛṣṇa zurückzuführen. Jemand, der beim Höchsten Herrn Zuflucht sucht, hat selbst inmitten des größten Unheils nichts zu befürchten.
