O du bedste af Bhārataer, se her de forskellige manifestationer af Ādityaer, Vasuer og Rudraer, Aśvinī-kumāraer og alle de andre halvguder. Se de mange forunderlige ting, som ingen andre nogensinde har set eller hørt om før.
O best of the Bhāratas, see here the different manifestations of Ādityas, Vasus, Rudras, Aśvinī-kumāras and all the other demigods. Behold the many wonderful things which no one has ever seen or heard of before.

FORKLARING: Selv om Arjuna var Kṛṣṇas personlige ven og den mest avancerede blandt lærde mænd, var det stadigvæk ikke muligt for ham at vide alt om Kṛṣṇa. Her bliver det konstateret, at ingen mennesker nogensinde har hørt om eller kendt til sådanne former og manifestationer. Nu åbenbarer Kṛṣṇa disse forunderlige former.
Even though Arjuna was a personal friend of Kṛṣṇa and the most advanced of learned men, it was still not possible for him to know everything about Kṛṣṇa. Here it is stated that humans have neither heard nor known of all these forms and manifestations. Now Kṛṣṇa reveals these wonderful forms.
