aṣṭame ‘caitanya-līlā-varṇana’-kāraṇa
eka kṛṣṇa-nāmera mahā-mahimā-kathana

Translation
The eighth chapter gives the reason for describing Lord Caitanya’s pastimes. It also describes the greatness of Lord Kṛṣṇa’s holy name.
